UAE - Mubasher: Dubai has issued 15,475 new business licenses during the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, up 19% from 13,027 in the year-ago period, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
This figure shows the resilience of Dubai's business environment, economic competitiveness, ability to attract businesses from different sectors, according to The Business Registration & Licensing (BRL) sector of Dubai Economy.
In Q1-21, a total of 58% of the new licenses were professional, followed by commercial activities with 41%.
Meanwhile, 99,887 business registration and licensing transactions were completed in the first three months of 2021, up 8% from 92,325 in Q1 2020.
License renewal increased by 4% to 38,090 transactions during Q1-21 from 36,484 in Q1-20.
