Dubai-Mubasher: dnata, a subsidiary of Emirates Group, posted a 64% profit jump to AED 557 million ($152 million) year-on-year in the six-month period ended 30 September 2015, according to a statement on Thursday.
dnata's revenue, including other operating income, rose 27% to AED 5.2 billion ($1.4 billion) in the six-month period compared to AED 4.1 billion ($1.1 billion).
This strong performance is mainly attributed to the first full year contribution of dnata's major acquisitions Stella Group, and Toll dnata.
dnata's airport operations contributed to revenue with AED 2.4 billion ($645 million), a 21% rise compared to the same period last year.
This reflects the internal alignment of the company's airport services and cargo handling divisions, its growing international operations with the acquisitions in Australia and Europe.
