Dubai's CPI up 4.6% in April

UAE - Mubasher: Dubai's Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 4.60% year-on-year (YoY) to 104.01 points in April 2022, according to the latest data by the Dubai Statistics Centre (DSC).

On an annual basis, the prices of the food and beverages, clothing and footwear, as well as furnishings, household equipment, and routine household maintenance segments increased by 8.56%, 1.49%, and 1.87%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the prices of transport, information and communication, and recreation, sport, and culture jumped by 28.76%, 1.46%, and 22.23%, respectively.

On the other hand, the prices of the housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels sector declined by 1.26%.

On a monthly basis, Dubai's CPI rose by 1.23% in April, when compared to March.
