Dubai's CPI down 3% in May 2021

UAE - Mubasher: The Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Dubai declined by 2.8% year-on-year (YoY) to 101.14 points in May, according to the latest data by the Dubai Statistics Centre (DSC).

The prices of the housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels and food and beverages segments decreased by 8.42% and 3.7%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the emirate reported a rise in the prices of the transport sector by 9.33%, clothing and footwear by 2.9%, and restaurants and hotels by 1.07%.

It is noteworthy to mention that in April 2021, Dubai's CPI decreased by 2.64% YoY in April 2021.
