Dubai records AED 1bn trade with Israel in 5M

UAE - Mubasher: The total value of Dubai's trade with Israel reached AED 1 billion from September 2020 to January 2021, with a volume of 6,217 tonnes, the Dubai media office reported.

Dubai's trade with Israel comprised AED 325 million imports, AED 607 million exports, and AED 98.7 million transit trade in the last five months, as shown by the latest statistics of Dubai Customs.

The emirate saw an AED 82.8 million seaborne trade with Israel, with a total volume of 5,700 tonnes, while the airborne trade recorded  AED 948.6 million, with a total volume of 423 kg.

Dubai’s main imports from Israel include vegetables and fruits, diamonds and flat screens, hi-tech devices, and medical and mechanical devices.

Meanwhile, Dubai's exports to Israel consist of diamonds, smartphones, engine spare parts, perfumes, and lubricants.

DP World Group Chairman and CEO and Chairman of Dubai’s Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, Sultan bin Sulayem, said that the trade exchange between the UAE and Israel is forecast to increase to AED 15 billion in the upcoming years.
