Dubai records 58% higher new business licences in Q1-22

UAE - Mubasher: Dubai has issued 24,662 new business licences in the first quarter (Q1) of 2022, up 58% from 15,580 in the year-ago period, the Dubai media office reported.

This figure was published in the business environment report developed by the Department of Economy and Tourism's (DET) Business Registration and Licensing (BRL) sector in Dubai.

Professional and commercial sectors accounted for 57% and 43% of the new business licences, respectively.

Meanwhile, 136,034 business registration and licensing transactions were completed in the first three months of 2022, up 36% compared to Q1-21.
