UAE - Mubasher: Dubai will list the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) within the upcoming months.
This announcement was made on Tuesday by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance of the UAE, on his official Twitter account.
Sheikh Maktoum said that the listing will be carried out in phases, taking into account the size of DEWA's assets.
On Monday, 1 November, Sheikh Maktoum announced during the first meeting of the Securities and Exchange Higher Committee the lising of ten government and state-owned companies on the DFM and plans to double the stock market size to AED 3 trillion.
