UAE - Mubasher: Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has launched 'Dubai Next', a new digital crowdfunding platform aiming to support entrepreneurs and startups in doing their businesses.
The new digital platform enables youth and innovators from different nationalities in Dubai to raise the funding necessary to carry out their projects, encouraging them to implement their innovative ideas, according to a recent press release.
'Dubai Next' platform is in line with the Dubai SME, which was introduced in 2002 to support and guide SMEs and emerging companies.
Hence, the Dubai SME will offer a package of incentives for startups and entrepreneurs who secure financing on the new digital platform, including incubating the idea in the Hamdan Innovation Incubator (HI2) or in one of the 14 certified incubators in the emirate.
Sheikh Hamdan said: "It will also empower a generation that is capable of innovating to succeed in a competitive commercial environment, thus reinforcing the fundamental role of SMEs in economic development so that the UAE can continue to stand as a model for youth empowerment."
