Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened in the red on Sunday due to a downtrend in leading stocks.
The general index fell 0.75% or 25.02 points to reach 3,293.61 points by 10:46am UAE time
The UAE stock markets will continue to see profit-taking on Sunday and Monday amid a downtrend in oil and global stock markets, analysts earlier told Mubasher.
The consumer staples sector was the biggest drag with a 2.11% decline after Dubai Parks and Resorts lost 2.19%.
The real estate sector retreated 1.21% as Emaar Properties slid 1.67%.
The investment sector levelled down 0.61%, nudged down by Gulf General Investments Co. (GGICO) which decreased 1.87%.
The services sector lost 0.26% after du went down 1.42%.
The banks sector retreated 0.23% as Amlak Finance fell 0.61%.
Turnover amounted to AED 73.75 million after 68.2 million shares were trading through 937 transactions.
