Mubasher: The 17th session of Dubai Wood Show 2022 has started on Tuesday, 15 March, at the Dubai World Trade Center in the UAE, Ahram Gate reported.
The three-day event will be held until 17 March under the sponsorship of the Wood Working and Furniture Chamber, an affiliate of the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI), in addition to the Industrial Modernisation Centre (IMC) and the Egyptian Furniture Export Council (efec).
The event will witness the participation of 168 companies specialised in furniture manufacturing from China, Germany, Canada, Turkey, the US, Portugal, India, Russia, France, Austria, Belgium, and others.
Meanwhile, eight Egyptian firms are taking part in Dubai Wood Show this year.
Ahmed Helmy, Chairman of the FEI Chamber, affirmed that the UAE is one of the most important trading partners for Egypt, as it provides prominent opportunities for Egyptian companies working in the field of wood and furniture.
Helmy noted that the furniture industry is an essential sector in the UAE’s economy, highlighting that the Gulf country has more than 3,000 furniture factories.
