Dubai-S. Korea bilateral trade hikes 8% in H1

Dubai – Mubasher: Trade exchange between the emirate of Dubai and South Korea increased 8% to AED 8.7 billion during the first six months of 2018.

Bilateral trade between the GCC emirate and the Asian nation registered AED 25.3 bn and AED 27.4 bn in 2016 and 2017, respectively. 

 

These figures were revealed during a meeting between the director of Dubai Customs, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, and the South Korean Consul-General in Dubai, Chun Young Wook, in the presence of representatives from a number of S. Korean businesses operating in the GCC country, according to Emirates News Agency.

The meeting reviewed the incentives provided by the Emirati government to stimulate the business sector and the domestic economy, the Agency added.

The S. Korean Consul-General reaffirmed confidence in Dubai’s investment environment, calling on Korean businesses to invest in the UAE.
