Dubai Investments’ net profit soars 25% in Q1

Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Investments Company (DIC) reported a 25% increase in net profit during the first quarter of 2018.

The company’s net profit registered AED 361.9 million in Q1-18, compared to AED 289 million in the year-ago period, according to a bourse statement released on Monday.

The increase in the Dubai-listed firm’s profits was attributed to a 20% growth in its revenue in the three-month period ended 31 March 2018.

Other income reached AED 9.26 million from January to March versus AED 17.37  million in the comparative period of 2017.

Basic earnings per share rose to AED 0.09 in the first three months of 2018 against AED 0.07 in Q1-17.
