UAE - Mubasher: Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has formed UAE Pharma Business Group to support the growth of local medicine manufacturers in the UAE, the GCC, and around the globe.
The group is expected to welcome 50 new member enterprises with relevant expertise in the pharmaceutical industry, according to a press release on Wednesday.
The project comes in line with the UAE’s vision to become a leading hub for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and medical device manufacturing industries.
UAE Pharma Business Group aims to provide a platform for businesses operating in the pharmaceutical industry in a bid to voice their concerns and share their feedback on different regulations affecting the industry players.
Chairman of UAE Pharma Business Group and Managing Director of Dubai Science Park, Marwan AbdulazizJanahi, said: “There is great scope for the UAE to become a leading hub for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and medical device manufacturing industry considering the great demand emerging not only locally, but also on a regional scale for quality medicine and health care.”
According to recent data, Dubai Chamber had registered 16,614 member companies in 2020.
