UAE - Mubasher: Dubai Chamber of Commerce launched a new financial technology (fintech) and payments business group to join the forces of all companies within the fintech and payments sector, according to a press release.
The new entity aligns with the Chamber’s plans to raise the number of business groups representing economic sectors across Dubai in order to foster their competitiveness and reinforce the emirate's sustainable development.
Meanwhile, the fintech and payments business group will focus on ways to adopt the highest standards to offer financial services and payment solutions to businesses.
It will also support Dubai companies and provide members with key insights and analysis on trends across the fintech ecosystem to leverage policy and regulatory change proposals while benefiting from newly evolved financial technology.
Maha Al Gargawi, Executive Director of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, said: “Through continued transparent discussions, the business group will be able to support essential policy changes that will facilitate and improve the ease of doing business in Dubai and cement the emirate’s position as a dynamic and global business hub.”
Al Gargawi continued: “The new fintech and payments business group is a great addition to our network of business groups, and we believe it will play a pivotal role in supporting members and the emirate’s private sector to drive fintech growth and serve as a platform to leverage the vast opportunities in this vital sector.”
Earlier this month, Dubai Chambers created the In Focus initiative, through which its members will be able to expand their business into new international markets.
