Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Airports seeks to obtain a $1 billion loan to finance the equipment for expanding Al Maktoum International Airport, according to Bloomberg.
Dubai plans to spend $35.7 billion to develop the airport, Bloomberg reported, citing sources as saying.
In December 2016, sources said that the Government of Dubai’s loan amounted to $3 billion, of which the first tranche is worth $2 billion, and the second tranche is a $1 billion Murabaha loan.
In November 2016, the Government of Dubai sponsored an initial finance facility worth AED 11 billion ($3 billion) to raise the capacity of Al Maktoum International Airport.
