Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Dana Gas has been included in the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) new blue chip equity index FTSE ADX 15 Index (FADX 15), according to a bourse disclosure on Monday.
Created by ADX and FTSE Russell, the FADX 15 index includes ADX’s 15 most liquid companies that are chosen based on free-float adjusted market capitalisation as well as median trading value.
In 2021, the company’s shares soared by 48%, while the FTSE ADX General Index jumped 64%.
The CEO of Dana Gas, Patrick Allman-Ward, said: “The inclusion of Dana Gas in the FADX 15, an index of the most investable stocks on the Abu Dhabi exchange, is a reflection of the big strides the Company has made over the past two years.”
Last year, the company generated net profits worth AED 1.16 billion, against net losses of AED 1.38 billion in 2020.
