Dubai - Mubasher: Damac Properties will launch two new hotels in 2017, Niall McLoughlin, the senior vice president for marketing and corporate communications at Damac Holdings told Mubasher on Monday.
McLoughlin added on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai that the two hotels, Damac Maison Royale The Distinction and Damac Maison Bay's Edge will be opened in the second and third quarters of 2017, with a total capacity of 555 rooms.
He also noted that the number of hotel rooms will reach 2,000 by the end of the year, a number that it expected to double next year as the company launches Damac Towers Paramount.
The hospitality sector accounts for 25% of the company’s total activities.
When asked the company’s expansions McLoughlin said that Damac is working on finishing two towers in Riyadh, Damac Esclusiva and DAMAC Tower by Paramount Hotels and Resorts.
