DIFC partners with Arizona State University's unit to open innovation centre

UAE - Mubasher: Thunderbird School of Global Management, a unit of the Arizona State University Enterprise, has inaugurated a new satellite centre of excellence, Thunderbird Global Innovation Centre, in partnership with Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

Located at DIFC Innovation Hub, the Centre will benefit from DIFC's location and network to support startups and existing firms, while offering international business, leadership, and management training, including graduate degree programmes, according to a press release on Wednesday.

Hence, innovators and entrepreneurs will be able to design, test, and implement their ideas and work alongside top educators, business leaders and financial experts from DIFC’s vast and diverse ecosystem.

The CEO of DIFC Authority, Arif Amiri, said: "Thunderbird’s decision to locate its Global Innovation Center in DIFC is a testament to the strength of our reputation as a global business hub. It will enable the school to access our world-class infrastructure and innovation offering as well as reach the fast growing economies of the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region."

Meanwhile, Thunderbird’s Director General and Dean, Sanjeev Khagram, commented: "With the expertise of our partners at DIFC, Thunderbird will use this perfect location as a launchpad to drive regional transformation and export cutting-edge management mastery around planet Earth."
