DFM traders keep bullish bets for 3rd day

Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended in the green for the third session in a row on Wednesday, spurred by blue chips led by Emaar Properties, Arabtec Holding and Dubai Islamic Bank.

The DFMGI reached 2,985.85 points, adding 66.2 points or 2.27%, the highest rate in 16 sessions.

Today, turnover amounted to AED 384.3 million ($104.63 million), compared to AED 274.53 million ($74.72 million) on Tuesday. Trading volume stood at 284.85 million shares, compared to 216.96 million shares.

The consumer staples sector rose 4.08% after Dubai Parks and Resorts added 4.63%.

The real estate sector levelled up 2.89% as Emaar Properties and Arabtec Holding increased 3.75% and 1.43%, respectively.

The banks sector advanced 2.21%, backed by Dubai Islamic Bank and Emirates NBD which went up 1.82% and 4.48% in a row.

The investment sector edged up 2.14% as DFM Company and Dubai Investments gained 4.63% and 1.6%, respectively.

The telecom sector grew 0.6% as du added 0.6% to AED 5.
