Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Monday’s trading session on a positive note.
The DFM’s general index jumped 131.47 points, or 4.77%, to 2,889.81 points.
Market capitalisation reached AED 375.319 billion and gained AED 13.979 billion.
Trading volume amounted to 211.949 million shares that were exchanged through 4,438 transactions at a turnover of AED 634.330 million.
The banks sector led the winners with 8.15%, followed by the consumer staples sector that increased by 3.11%.
The investment and financial services sector went up 2.8%, while the real estate sector added 2.17%.
On the other hand, the services sector was the sole decliner with 1.76%.
Emirates NBD, up 14.85% to AED 13.15, was the most active stock by value with a turnover of AED 342.319 million, and Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) was the most active stock by volume with a trading volume of 26,606 million shares.
