Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Thursday’s trading session in green territory, encouraged by the growth of leading stocks.
The general index inched up 1.61 points, or 0.06%, closing the last session of the week at 2,633.69 points.
The bourse’s trading volume reached 284.73 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 201.54 million through 3,667 transactions.
The real estate sector topped risers with 1.03% as Union Properties and Emaar Properties grew 3.26% and 1.3%, respectively.
The telecommunication sector and its sole stock, Du, went up 0.59% each.
On the negative side, the consumer staples sector headed the decliners falling 2.52% as Amanat Holding plunged 3.17%, while the insurance sector went down 1.64% as Dar Al Takaful and Islamic Arab Insurance Company (SALAMA) dipped 5.15% and 1.5%, respectively.
