DFM marks 6-session low on Sunday

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has closed Sunday’s trading session in red territory, marking a six-session low.

The DFM’s general index fell 42.71 points, or 1.6%, to 2,629.90 points.

Trading volume amounted to 99.17 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 121.92 million through 1,809 transactions.

The goods sector dropped by 5.12% as DXB Entertainments fell 6.05% to AED 0.202.

The insurance sector plummeted 4.74% as Salama Insurance fell 8.4% to AED 0.491, while the investment sector shed 3.55% as the stocks of the DFM Company and Dubai Investment lost 4% and 3.5%, respectively.

Likewise, the banks sector levelled down 1.9% as Emirates NBD dipped 3.5% and the real estate sector declined by 1.36% as Union Properties tumbled 4.8% to AED 0.340.

The transportation sector slipped 0.62% as Aramex dipped 0.39%to AED 5.11.

Union Properties was the most heavily traded stock with a turnover of AED 22.59 million.
