Dubai – Mubasher: The general index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down 28.93 points, or 1.04%, to 2,758.51 points in a week.
Market capitalisation lost AED 2.99 billion to AED 361.27 billion ($98.34 billion) over the week, compared to AED 364.26 billion ($99.18 billion) a week earlier.
The investment sector declined 10.9% after Dubai Investments shed 14.11%, while the consumer staples sector retreated 3.55%, as DXB Entertainments decreased by the same percentage.
Moreover, the real estate sector lost 2.44% after Deyaar Development dropped 5.8%, while the transportation sector shed 1.74%, as Gulf Navigation levelled down 2.67%.
The telecommunication sector and its only stock, du, sank 0.2% each, and the banking sector went down 0.12% after Dubai Islamic Bank retreated 1.9%.
