Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened Sunday in the green, backed by investment and real estate stocks.
The DFMGI added 0.34% or 12.40 points, reaching 3,618.27 points by 10:50 am UAE time.
The investment sector grew 1.36% after SHUAA and DFM Company increased 3% and 1.72%, respectively, while the transport sector added 0.34% after Air Arabia gained 0.94%.
In addition, the real estate sector increased 0.27%, on the back of Arabtec Holding and Emaar Properties which were up 0.6% and 0.12%, respectively.
In the meantime, turnover amounted to AED 67.52 million after 48.14 million shares changed hands through 907 transactions.
Earlier on Sunday, analysts told Mubasher that investors across the UAE’s stock markets were keeping their eyes on companies’ financial disclosures this week.
Traders are not willing to expand their investment positions, which will negatively affect the markets, analyst Salem Al Newairy said.
