Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Wednesday’s trading session in positive territory, for the second consecutive session, supported by selective purchases on blue-chip stocks.
The general index rose 37.99 points, or 1.5%, ending the session at 2,579.45 points.
Turnover amounted to AED 165.72 million after 165.84 million shares were traded through 2,819 transactions.
The investment sector topped the DFM’s riser adding 2.18%, followed by the consumer staples, real estate and banks sectors with 1.4%, 1.11%, and 1.06%, respectively.
Takadul Al Emarat Insurance Company’s stock headed the gainers adding 4.14%, while Islamic Arab Insurance (Salama) and Gulf Navigation added 1.92% and 0.81%, respectively.
