DFM closes in red on selling pressure Tuesday

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) general index lost 6.25 points, or 0.22%, to close at 2,840.89 points on Tuesday, dragged down by selling pressure.

The services sector shed 1.06% after Tabreed dropped 3.33% to AED 1.74, while the banks sector declined 0.82%, as Emirates NBD sank 1.92% to AED 9.2.

The transportation sector fell 0.37%, as Aramex and Gulf Navigation levelled down 0.67% and 0.11%, respectively.

The real estate sector decreased by 0.1% after Union Properties lost 1% and Emaar Properties sank 0.4%.

On the other hand, the investment sector added 1.2%, as Dubai Investments rose 1.52% to AED 2.

The DFM’s trading volume reached 329.7 million shares, while the market’s liquidity amounted to AED 412.3 million.
