DFM closes Wednesday up; ADX down

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have ended Wednesday's trading session on a varied note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went up 0.95% to close Wednesday's session at 2,825.22 points.

A total of 155.25 million shares were exchanged through 4,956 transactions valued at AED 325.76 million.

Al Ramz Corporation Investment and Development led the rising stocks with 12.57%, while Emirates Refreshments topped the losing stocks with 6.17%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index declined by 1.03% to settle at 6,564.3 points by the end of Wednesday.

Turnover amounted to AED 1.47 billion after 189.15 million shares had been traded through 3,973 transactions.

Union Insurance came on top of the red zone with 10%, while National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) headed the green zone with 4.22%.
