DFM closes Wednesday's session up; ADX down

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have ended Wednesday's trading session on a varied note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went up 0.59% to close Wednesday's session at 3,687.69 points.

A total of 158.39 million shares were traded through 7,273 transactions valued at AED 465.78 million.

Emirates Refreshments headed the rising stocks with 12.07%, while Ekttitab Holding Company came on top of the losing stocks with 4.50%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched down 0.12% to settle at 10,006.46 points by the end of Wednesday.

Turnover amounted to AED 1.46 billion after 232.35 million shares had been exchanged through 8,316 transactions.

Methaq Takaful Insurance Company led the green zone with 4.59%, while Fujairah Cement Industries topped the red zone with 8.7%.
