DFM closes Wednesday down; ADX up

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have closed Wednesday's trading session on a varied note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down 0.07% to settle at 2,814.63 points by the end of Sunday's session.

A total of 102.54 million shares were traded through 1,995 transactions valued at AED 128.52 million.

Al Salam Group Holding led the rising stocks with 14.07%, while Orascom Construction topped the losing stocks with 10%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched up 0.47% to close Wednesday at 7,594.35 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 1.25 billion after 285.82 million shares had been exchanged.

Easy Lease came on top of the green zone with 13.77%, while Methaq Takaful Insurance Company headed the red zone with 50%.
