DFM closes Tuesday down; ADX up

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have ended Tuesday's trading session on a varied note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down 0.43% to close Tuesday's session at 2,827.71 points.

A total of 161.2 million shares were traded through 2,107 transactions valued at AED 80.08 million.

Union Properties led the rising stocks with 1.89%, while Emirates Refreshments topped the losing stocks with 5.56%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched up 0.21% to end Tuesday's session at 6,763.08 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 1.4 billion after 175.4 million shares had been exchanged through 4,947 transactions.

Gulf Cement Company came on top of the green zone with 14.88%, while Agthia Group headed the red zone with 4.06%.
