DFM closes Thursday up; ADX down

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets ended Thursday's trading session on a varied note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went up by 40.67 points (1.24%) to close the session at 3,301.20 points.

The turnover amounted to AED 239.21 million through the trading of 121.67 million shares.

Takaful Emarat – Insurance topped the gainers with 9.82%, while Ekttitab Holding led the losers with 2.27%.

Emaar Properties recorded the highest turnover of AED 62.75 million, while Union Properties was the most active stock on which 37.50 million shares were exchanged.

On the other hand, the benchmark index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) decreased by 0.156% to close at 9,542.44 points.

A total of 165.63 million shares were traded at a value of AED 1.21 billion. Meanwhile, the market cap reached AED 1.99 trillion.

Fujairah Cement Industries Company advanced the risers with 6.67%, while National Mobile Telecommunications Company (Ooredoo) headed the fallers with 10%.

International Holding Group (IHC) posted the highest turnover of AED 311.67 million, while Multiply Group was the most active stock on which 34.23 million shares were traded.
