DFM closes Thursday's session up; ADX down

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have ended Thursday's trading session on a varied note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went up 0.44% to close Thursday's session at 3,515.34 points.

A total of 166.93 million shares had been exchanged through 5,256 transactions valued at AED 440.71 million.

Emirates Refreshments Company led the rising stocks with 14.94%, while Dubai National Insurance and Reinsurance (DNIR) topped the losing stocks with 7.24%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched down 0.84% to settle at 9,994.67 points by the end of Thursday's session.

Turnover amounted to AED 1.81 billion after 416.75 million shares had been traded through 11,474 transactions.

Methaq Takaful Insurance Company came on top of the green zone with 14.92%, while Abu Dhabi National Takaful Co. headed the red zone with 3.79%.
