DFM closes Sunday down; ADX up

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have closed Sunday's trading session on a varied note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down 0.41% to settle at 2,850.93 points by the end of Sunday's trading session.

A total of 165.85 million shares were traded through 2,215 transactions valued at AED 163.94 million.

National Cement Co (NCC) led the losing stocks with 4.17%, while Takaful Emarat – Insurance Co came on top of the rising stocks with 8%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched up 0.03% to close Sunday's session at 6,648.91 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 1.06 billion after 191.93 million shares had been exchanged through 3,483 transactions.

Sudatel Telecommunications Group Company Limited headed the red zone with 5.19%, while Fujairah Building Industries topped the green zone with 14.5%.
