DFM closes Monday slightly up; ADX falls

UAE – Mubasher: The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) gained 0.19 points on Monday to close at 3,156.91 points, marginally up from 3,156 points in the previous session.

The turnover stood at AED 340 million after 196.07 million shares were exchanged, compared to AED 376.31 million and 292 million shares on Sunday.

Emirates REIT headed the risers with 7.27%, while Amlak Finance led the losers with 5.13%.

Emaar Properties continued to generate the highest trading value of AED 88.34 million, while Union Properties remained the most active stock with 45.34 million traded shares.

On the other hand, the benchmark index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) declined by 1.08% to 8,557.37 points.

The trading value amounted to AED 1.62 billion through the exchange of 220.3 million shares, compared to AED 1.6 billion and 244.991 million shares a day ago. The market cap value remained quite unchanged at AED 1.62 trillion.

Aram Group led the fallers with 9.66%, while Abu Dhabi National Company for Building Materials (Bildco) advanced the risers with 5.16%.

International Holding Company (IHC) continued to register the highest turnover at AED 330.29 million, while Aldar Properties was the most active stock with 68.68 million exchanged shares.
