Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market Company (DFM) achieved net profits attributable to the owners worth AED 186.24 million during the first nine months (9M) of 2023, a 109% annual growth from AED 88.98 million.
The basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) stood at AED 0.02 in 9M-23, compared with AD 0.01 in 9M-22, according to the financial results.
DFM’s total income amounted to AED 356.02 million during January-September 2023, higher than AED 240.17 million in the same period a year earlier.
As of 30 September 2023, the total assets reached AED 9.84 billion when compared to AED 9.49 billion as of 31 December 2022.
Financial Results for Q3-23
During the third quarter (Q3) of 2023, the listed DFM entity registered net profits to the shareholders amounting to AED 74.06 million which came higher than AED 25.63 million in Q3-22.
The basic and diluted EPS edged up to AED 0.009 in Q3-23 from AED 0.003 in Q3-22.
Furthermore, the total income soared to AED 137.90 million in the 3M that ended on 30 September 2023 when compared to AED 74.76 million in the corresponding period a year earlier.
The CEO of DFM and Nasdaq Dubai, Hamed Ali, said: “Our commitment to expanding our product verticals with the introduction of new asset classes, onboarding of digital brokers for seamless trading experience, and the launch of innovative programmes such as the IPO Accelerator underscores our dedication to strengthening the overall financial ecosystem.”
Ali added: “The increase in our foreign investor base can be attributed to the success of our international roadshows. DFM's recent roadshow in Singapore last month witnessed impressive participation, fostering global partnerships, and enhancing our international presence.”
He concluded: “We are now looking to further expand DFM’s reach as we prepare for the upcoming roadshow in New York next month."
It is worth noting that in the first half (H1) of 2023, DFM logged AED 112.17 million in net profit attributable to the owners.
