DEWA sees higher profits in Q1-22; dividends to be paid

Dubai - Mubasher: The net profits attributable to the owners of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) increased to AED 734.51 million in the first quarter (Q1) of 2022 from AED 547.28 million in the year-ago period, according to the company's unaudited consolidated financials.

The company generated revenues of AED 5.06 billion in Q1-22, up 15% from AED 4.40 billion in the same quarter of 2021.

The basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) settled at AED 0.015 in the first three months (3M) of 2022, versus AED 0.011 in the corresponding period of 2021.

Meanwhile, the company will pay out interim dividends of AED 3.1 billion in October 2022.
