Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) on Tuesday announced that it has awarded an AED 1.1 billion contract to a consortium of German’s Siemens and Egypt's Elsewedy Power for building power plant in Al Aweer.
The project includes supply, test, and installation of 815 megawatts (MWs) gas turbines, said DEWA’s CEO Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer.
The gas turbines are expected to operate in phases starting from 29 February 2020 to 30 April 2020, DEWA concluded.
