Cairo – Mubasher: Credit Agricole – Egypt on Sunday posted a 49% year-on-year hike in profits for the first half of 2017 due to higher net interest income.
The bank achieved profits of EGP 941.6 million in the six months ended June from EGP 630.2 million in the same period of the year before.
The bank’s interest income grew to EGP 2.23 billion in H1-17 from EGP 1.46 billion in H1-16.
Consolidated profits amounted to EGP 467.1 million in the three months ended March from EGP 315.96 million in the corresponding period of 2016.
The standalone profits of the bank soared 50% to EGP 949.03 million in H1-17, versus EGP 632.2 million in H2-16.
