Crédit Agricole Egypt witnesses lower consolidated net profits at EGP 3.5bn in H1-25

Cairo - Mubasher: Crédit Agricole Egypt logged consolidated net profits after tax worth EGP 3.55 billion in the first half (H1) of 2025, marking an annual decline from EGP 4.21 billion.

The net interest income stood at EGP 5.45 billion in the six months ended 30 June 2025, compared with EGP 5.39 billion in H1-24, according to the financial results.

The basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) dropped to EGP 2.53 in H1-25 from EGP 3 in the same period a year earlier.

In the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, the consolidated net profits fell to EGP 1.68 billion from EGP 1.92 billion in Q2-24.

Meanwhile, the net income hit EGP 2.64 billion in the April-June 2025 period, against EGP 2.70 billion in Q2-24.

Standalone Results

The EGX-listed bank reported year-on-year (YoY) lower non-consolidated net profits of EGP 3.53 billion in the first six months (6M) of 2025, compared to EGP 4.19 billion.

Standalone net income hit EGP 5.43 billion in H1-25, versus EGP 5.37 billion in H1-24.

The basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) stood at  EGP 2.52 in the January-June 2025 period, down from EGP 2.99 in the same period a year earlier.

In Q2-25, the non-consolidated net profits declined to EGP 1.66 billion from EGP 1.90  billion in Q2-24, while the net income rose to EGP 5.43 billion from EGP 5.37 billion.

As of 31 March 2025,  Crédit Agricole Egypt posted consolidated net profits worth EGP 1.86 billion, an annual drop from EGP 2.28 billion.
