Crédit Agricole Egypt’s consolidated profits exceed EGP 1.7bn in Q1-26

Cairo - Mubasher: Crédit Agricole Egypt recorded lower consolidated net profits after tax at EGP 1.78 billion in the first quarter (Q1) of 2026, compared to EGP 1.86 billion in Q1-25.

The lender reported net interest income worth EGP 2.87 billion as of 31 March 2026, up year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 2.80 billion, according to the financial results.

Meanwhile, the earnings per share (EPS) fell to EGP 1.27 in Q1-26 from EGP 1.33 a year earlier.

Total assets jumped to EGP 156.20 billion at the end of March 2026 from EGP 145.89 billion as of 31 December 2025, whereas the customer deposits increased to EGP 119.60 billion from EGP 110.17 billion.

Standalone Results

In the first three months (3M) of 2026, the standalone net profits amounted to EGP 1.80 billion, when compared to EGP 1.86 billion in the year-ago period.

Non-consolidated EPS shrank to EGP 1.28 in Q1-26 from EGP 1.33 in Q1-25, while the net interest income climbed to EGP 2.86 billion from EGP 2.80 billion.

In 2025, the consolidated net profits of Crédit Agricole Egypt declined by 13.33% YoY to EGP 6.96 billion from EGP 8.03 billion.
