Riyadh - Mubasher: China made up around 13.8% of Saudi Arabia’s total trade exchange with countries across the world in January 2018, which amounted to SAR 122.82 billion
China topped the Saudi trade exchange list with an amount of SAR 17 billion in the first month of 2018, according to the Saudi General Authority for Statistics’ (GASTAT) recent report.
Saudi exports to China hiked to SAR 11.4 billion in January, while its imports from the world’s second-largest economy recorded SAR 5.87 billion, the report showed.
Meanwhile, Saudi exports to other countries reached SAR 83.74 billion in January against imports of SAR 39.09, with a total trade exchange worth SAR 122.82 billion, the state-run entity noted.
Year-on-year, the GCC nation’s exports to China increased 15.1% to SAR 11.4 billion in January compared to SAR 9.68 billion in the same month a year earlier, GASTAT said.
