CIB logs EGP 9.9bn profit in nine months

Cairo – Mubasher: The Commercial International Bank-Egypt (CIB) reported consolidated net profits of EGP 9.87 billion in the first nine months of 2021, up by 34.5% year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 7.34 billion, including minority shareholders' rights. 

The net interest income declined to EGP 18.15 billion in the January-September period, compared to EGP 18.84 billion in the prior-year period, according to a bourse disclosure on Sunday. 

In the meantime, the standalone net profits increased to EGP 9.89 billion in the nine-month period ended 30 September, compared to EGP 7.39 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier. 

In the first half (H1) of 2021, CIB achieved consolidated net profits of EGP 6.088 billion, up from EGP 4.997 billion in H1-20, including minority shareholders' rights.
