CI Capital Holding's profit plunges 97% in Q1-21

Cairo – Mubasher: CI Capital Holding For Financial Investments reported a 96.77% year-on-year (YoY) slide in its consolidated net profits to EGP 3.28 million in the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, compared to EGP 101.86 million, including minority shareholders’ rights.

The overall revenues increased to EGP 559.61 million in the January-March period from EGP 517.61 million in the corresponding period a year earlier, CI Capital said in a bourse disclosure on Thursday.

As for standalone business, the company achieved net profits of EGP 124.64 million in Q1-21, down from EGP 171.8 million in Q1-20.

Moreover, the board of directors approved the appointment of the CEO Hesham Labib Gohar as the company’s Managing Director.

In 2020, CI Capital reported consolidated net profits of EGP 474.6 million, down by 12.4% from EGP 541.75 million a year earlier.
