CBUAE records 3% YoY lower foreign assets in October

UAE – Mubasher: The foreign assets at the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) declined by 3% year-on-year (YoY) in October 2020, according to the latest data by the CBUAE.

The CBUAE's total assets recorded AED 358 billion in October, up by AED 1.4 billion from September 2020.

The CBUAE recorded a 9% YoY decline in foreign deposits during October, while the other foreign assets surged by 84%.

It is noteworthy to mention that in October 2020, the total investments of the banks operating in the UAE jumped by 9.5% to AED 448.1 billion, compared to around AED 409.2 billion in the same month of the previous year.
