Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered fixed treasury bonds (T-bonds) at an aggregated value of EGP 11 billion through two auctions on Monday, 18 November.
The first issue was valued at EGP 5 billion, holding a two-year maturity period until 1 October 2026, according to official data.
With a maturity period of three years until 5 November 2027, the second offering stood at EGP 6 billion.
The central bank also auctioned floating-rate T-bonds at a value of EGP 2 billion through one issue, which will mature in five years on 1 October 2029.
Last week, the CBE offered T-bonds and floating-rate note at an aggregated value of EGP 12 billion.
