CBE unveils EGP 3.25bn T-bonds on Monday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a combined value of EGP 3.25 billion through two auctions on Monday, 23 October 2023.

The first issue was valued at EGP 3 billion, with a maturity period of three years until 24 October 2026, according to official data.

The second tranche stood at EGP 250 million and will mature in five years on 13 October 2027.

Last week, the CBE auctioned T-bonds as well as floating-rate T-bonds at a value of EGP 2.50 billion and EGP 500 million, respectively.
