Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) expects launching the second phase of the multicurrency real-time gross settlement (RTGS) system in 2021
The first phase of the system has been developed in October 2018, the CBE said in a report released late on Tuesday.
Total payments between banks through this system reached EGP 52.5 trillion in 2019, up by 15% from 2018.
