Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) would issue EGP 11.5 billion in treasury bills in coordination with the Ministry of Finance to bridge the country’s budget deficit.
This amount will be auctioned through two tranches: 91-day and 226-day bills worth EGP 6 billion and EGP 5.5 billion respectively.
Egypt’s aggregate budget deficit is estimated to hit EGP 319.466 billion in the fiscal year 2016/17, the ministry said earlier.
