CBE offers two-type T-bonds worth EGP 4.75bn on Monday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bonds (T-bonds) at an aggregated value of EGP 3.25 billion through two issues on Monday, 20 February.

The first offering stood at EGP 3 billion and will mature in three years on 6 April 2026, according to official data.

Holding a seven-year tenor until 7 May 2029, the second tranche was valued at EGP 250 million.

Meanwhile, the CBE issued zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 1.50 billion through one auction, carrying a maturity period of 1.5 years until 13 August 2024.

Last week, the central bank offered T-bonds worth EGP 500 million through one tranche, in addition to zero-coupon T-bonds and floating-rate T-bonds at a value of EGP 1 billion, each.
