Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a total value of EGP 8 billion through two offerings on Monday, 12 December.
The first issue stood at EGP 7.50 billion and will mature in three years on 6 December 2025, according to official data.
With a five-year tenor until 13 October 2027, the second auction was valued at EGP 500 million.
Additionally, the CBE offered zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 6 billion through one tranche, carrying a maturity period of 1.5 years until 4 June 2024.
Last week, the central bank issued T-bonds worth EGP 7.25 billion through two auctions and zero-coupon T-bonds at a value of EGP 5.50 billion through one offering.
